2017 Scholarship Application Open

    The application for this year's scholarship is now available. The application will be open through the end of business on Friday, April 28, 2017. We will be offering (3) $1,000 individual scholarships. Winners will be notified in advance and will be publicly announced in May. Recipients will also be honored at this year's golf tournament in October. The Sumter community has been incredibly supportive of local law enforcement and we are honored to pass it on to support the future of our beloved Sumter. 2016 POSTPONED (Thanks, Matthew)

  Due to the unexpected last minute changes in the path and rainfall from Hurricane Matthew and at the request of Beech Creek we will have to postpone this year's tournament until October 24th. Hopefully everything will work out fo rus then. Take care and we will see you then.






    First, the good news. We have sold out of teams for our flight this year! Thanks to all who registered. The bad news is that Hurricane Matthew is a serious threat headed this way and may impact the tournament right along with everything else. We are sincerely hoping that the weather will stay out at sea and not affect anyone in the US, but we are definitely concerned how it will impact us. Keep checking back on our site and social media for updates throughout the week. Since we seem to be so prone to precipitation maybe we'll move future tournaments to the end of December and try to bring in some holiday snow for everyone.


Format Change for 2016

    We have decided this year to change the format for the tournament. Demand for golf tournaments in the area have waned over the years and we have been relatively unaffected by it until recently. Since there is an inordinate amount of work and resources in putting on the tournament each year and we have experienced a decrease in participation the last couple of years we decided that we would scale back this year and consolidate into a single midday flight. We felt it would better to allow us to put on a quality tournament focusing on one flight rather than spreading our resources so thin.

    So, this year we will be doing a 10:00 am shotgun start with registration and brunch snacks starting at 9:15 am. As we have done in the past, there will be plenty to eat and drink during play. Afterwards, we will be hosting a meal and awards time where we can all eat and fellowship together while the results are tallied and prizes awarded. We hope that this format will allow us to still provide a good time for a great cause with a more relaxed atmosphere. Buffalo Wild Wings Fundraiser

    Next Monday, September 12, we will be partnering with Buffalo Wild Wings of Sumter for a fundraiser benifitting the trust. If you present the ticket below any time during regular business hours next Monday  10% of your order will go the trust. You do not have to print it out, you may present it to your server electronically or request it verbally and they will credit us. Come out and support us with a fantastic meal with the generous folks at Buffalo Wild Wings next week, we'd greatly appreciate your support.
