Scholarship announcement

The board of directors for the Charlie Kubala Memorial Trust voted last year to start offering scholarships to local high school students. We have crafted a set of guidelines for the scholarships and established a review committee. We are pleased to announce that the application is now available for the first round of scholarships and will be open through June 30, 2015. Starting off we are offering (3) $1,000 individual scholarships. Winners will be notified in advance and will be publicly announced and honored at this year's golf tournament in October. The Sumter community has been incredibly supportive of local law enforcement and we are honored to pass it on to support the future of our beloved Sumter.
